here's the render.
4 passes
Color+reflection
texture
occlusion
material ID
total abt 1.5min for all these 4 pass to render, for my lousy computer. Hoarnale's pc should do it real fast.
Sorry HDRI sucked, if we're using this render setup, probably gonna need to take a picture of the scene and wrapped it as environment.
reflectivity seems too high, maybe i shld do a seperate pass to split color and reflection.
Thanks to my colleagues who helped me to achieve this.

what do you guys think? or shld we revert of the old style that fits the scene better?
my colleague say clients often likes shinier products, coz they give more emphasis.
watch in HD then can see the brush strokes on the metal can.

i think its more appealing this way. yea, i agree with your college, shinier seems to be better.

btw, why do we need a Material ID pass? where is it used?

its used in the texture, coz the label shldnt have the metal texture. so the color ID is to take away the metal brush strokes on the label.
